Black dyed stabilized Box Elder Burl
Made for a "pens for friends" and the friends were a fire dept group in Utah who had been fighting forrest fires all summer. The pen is supposed to be a hose(corian) and nozzel (aluminum).

First attempt at incorporating a pen in the handle of a gavel.
Decided to make the gavel pen into a desk pen. Kit used was an Americana screw cap from Berea. Wood is walnut. Gavel was made by me.
