The 9th Annual Penturners Rendevous will be held on Wednesday evening, May 18th in Provo UT. This year, as in recent years, it will be held at 7PM after the CSUSA Super Wednesday. We'll be having our gathering in the McKay Event Center. You can find a map to the campus here. The McKay Event Center is designated "MC" on the map. Plan time to park and find the room for a 7PM start. We will have a pen display, pen related vendors and authors, and demonstrations. At 9PM, we'll start the door prize drawings.
For those who haven't attended the event, it goes a bit like this. The Wednesday before the Utah Woodturners Symposium is the Craft Supplies USA Open House. There is a huge clearance sale at CSUSA beginning at 8am. There are demos all day long from 10 to 4 featuring many of the national and international turners in town for the Symposium. There will be a room with penturning demos as well. The CSUSA event winds down after 4pm. The Penturners Rendezvous begins at 7pm. From 7 PM onward are displays, demos, sales, and mingling. At 9 PM, the drawings for the door prizes b egin. They continue until everything is gone. Not long afterwards, the Rendezvous winds down as most attendees are going to be up early to attend the Symposium.

If you are planning on attending the Rendezvous, we would appreciate it if you register ahead of time. This will allow us to do a better job of planning based on the expected attendance. In addition, pre-registration will allow us to make your personalized name badge with your name and the logo selected from the contest. The registration fee is $10 per person to help offset the costs associated with planning and executing the event. Vendor tables are available for pen making related product suppliers. Product displays and sales are encouraged. The registration fee for vendors is $50.
A great added bonus for those who pre-register! Not only will you get a personalized name badge for the event but Ken Nelsen from Kallenshaan Woods will have a laser engraver there to engrave your pens. If you are a pre-registered attendee, you'll get one of your pens engraved for free while you watch.

We'll be having an on-site Provo pen display this year. The display will be prominently featured at the Rendezvous. Here's your chance to have the over 150 pen aficionados at the Rendezvous. Attendees are encouraged to bring their favorite work and display it on the table areas provided. You are welcome to bring business and/or contact cards to put near your work. While we welcome you to show your work and have your contact info available, please refrain from pricing or sales efforts on the display tables.
