The 12th Annual Penturners Rendevous will be held on Wednesday evening, May 14th in Provo UT. This year, as in recent years, it will be held at 7PM after the CSUSA Super Wednesday. We'll be having our gathering in the McKay Event Center, Area 6. This is the currently scheduled location but please check the latest schedule on the UWS website for late changes, UtahWoodturningSymposium.Com. You can find a map to the campus here. The McKay Event Center is designated "MC" on the map. Plan time to park and find the room for a 7PM start. We don't open the doors until 7PM sharp to allow time for room setup. Plan your arrival time accordingly please. We will have a pen display, pen related magazines and catalogs, and mingling with your fellow penturners. At 8PM, we'll start the door prize drawings.
For those who haven't attended the event, it goes a bit like this. The Wednesday before the Utah Woodturners Symposium is the Craft Supplies USA Open House. There is a huge clearance sale at CSUSA beginning at 8am. There are demos all day long from 10 to 4 featuring many of the national and international turners in town for the Symposium. There will be a room with penturning demos as well. The CSUSA event winds down after 4pm. The Penturners Rendezvous begins at 7pm. From 7 PM onward are displays, handouts, and mingling. At 8:00 PM, the drawings for the door prizes begin. They continue until everything is gone. Not long afterwards, the Rendezvous winds down as most attendees are going to be up early to attend the Symposium.
We'll be having an "instant gallery" pen display this year at the Rendezvous this year. It is intended to return more of the "meet and greet" environment. While we plan to have demos, the focus this year will be on mingling and showing your work. Tables will be available for you to use to show your work. Bring business cards to place near your work so others will know who did it. For those who bring at least 6 pens to display on the tables, we'll have a special drawing for a great prize! Make sure you show your 6 or more pens to display at the registration desk at entry to get your special drawing ticket.

We are not having any advanced registration this year. See you at 7pm and you can register then.
